Automated del.icio.us Postings??

Posted by: Jeff VanDrimmelen In: General

So you may have noticed that my past two blog entries have been the automated daily links posting from del.icio.usI am now officially stopping.  I wanted to try it out because everyone (I was tempted to put a link here, but refrained) is doing it now a days.

My biggest complaint is the fact that it just ruins the whole personal feeling of a blog.  I thought that perhaps if I added comments on each link I was making it would be okay, but it’s not.  If you are like me when you see those things in your RSS reader you just move onto the next.  There is a place for static information like this… it’s called the sidebar.  So from now on, if you want to see what I am reading look at my Google Reader Share.  I for one, pledge to no longer contribute to this automated mess.  I might as well let a computer write my article for me.

I am so ashamed that I was tempted to remove the two days I let the automated entry post, but I feel even stronger about letting a blog be what it is.  Besides, now everyone can see the mistake of my ways.  Live, Learn, Move On!

So I was off work and surfing and found this place and thought I would join up. I don’t have much more to say right now except I need to start reading some of the older posts to get up to speed before I can start posting.
