I have been a fan of the gOs for a while, but the most recent announcement of this super small laptop for $399 is just awesome (coming January 20th in Walmart). I have always wanted a smaller Sony Vaio notebook, but the price tag (usually at lest $1500) was more than I could swallow. This looks very promising. I think it is time to rebuild my Linux test box and put gOS on it to see how I like it.
Check out these awesome specs for this little device:
- $399
- 2 lbs
- 7″ screen
- WiFi
- 3 USB ports
- 4-in-1 card reader.
I want, I want, I want…

We picked up the desktop version of this to play around with at the office. I think most of us have given it fairly high reviews.
At any rate, there are several posts about it on a collaborative blog that a group of us in computing maintain. Feel free to check it out at http://computing.allegheny.edu/blogs/technocool.
When you get a page not found message check the url and drop the “.” from the end.
not too bad looking. i wonder how it compares to the asus eee pc.
i ran gOS for a little bit on my extra partition, but it seemed like a pretty rough and unfinished distro, although the concept is still pretty good.
personally, i would dump gOS the first chance i got, and put debian or arch on it.
