  • Digiteen Dream Team
  • – This is the blog the students created to protest the shutting down of Lively.

You know… if nothing else, this really teaches the students some GREAT lessons on real life and what to do when something doesn’t go your way.

They will release the transcript later this week from what they talked about today… stay tuned!

  • Cool Cat Teacher Blog: Five Reasons Why Google Should Reconsider Lively
  • – A group of students created a virtual world in Lively and now it is shutting down. Today I attended a protest in Lively to have it not shut down! It was awesome to see students doing this!

They really did a great job with the protest! I hope they can figure out something with Google to keep this going!

    Come on Google… listen up!

  • Google For Educators
  • – Ancient Rome 3D Curriculum Competition. This is a great way to use virtual spaces to really help the students visualize!

Hello, I am one of the students that you blogged about in the digiteen dream team and I just wanted to say that I appreciate you blogging about us. We need all of the people we can get because every person gets us a step closer to our goal.

My whole class just wants to thank you for coming to our protest. We have not told many people this right now because we are still working out the kinks but we are having another protest next week and we would love for you to attend for a second time.
Thanks,
The ninth grade class at Westwood Schools

Thanks for the note Hesterson. Feel free to post here when you know when it is going to be and I will be there and pass the word around campus to see if I can't get some of my colleagues to attend as well!

Good work again! Awesome!

Hey, this is Trent. I am one of the students that you talked about from the digiteen dream team. We completely agree with you. That was one of the reasons that our teacher decided to let us protest like we are. She said that if we get nothing else out of it she wants us to get some experience with how to handle difficult situations and what to do when something does not go away.

Thanks for your support,
